Last year, Glossop Creates joined the rally cry for local artists and creatives to apply to be part of Derbyshire Open Arts, and we are pleased to announce that the final line-up has now been confirmed for the Glossop exhibition and event in May.
Now in its 16th year, Derbyshire Open Arts showcases the fantastic wealth of artistic talent to be found across the county. This year, the free annual event has 218 participating artists exhibiting at 64 venues - including 17 artists exhibiting at five venues in Glossop, including Victoria Hall.
The artists taking place at the exhibition at Victoria Hall are Adrian Holt, Chris Taylor, Denise Heywood, Heather Jones, Helen Cunliffe, Jean Hobson, Karen Heywood, Lynne Taylor from Organic Ceramics, Phil Cunliffe, Pippa Hicks and Susan Eversfield.
Artists exhibiting at their own studios include Simon Parkin and Gerry Darbyshire, with Kay Stowell, Colin Mail and Linda Moss joining forces for a Glass, Wood & Wool collaboration.
Art lovers can come along to see what the artists in Glossop have created this year, including: paintings, drawings, prints, jewellery, ceramics, sculpture, textiles and glasswork.
Information about the artists can be found in the brochures and leaflets that will be distributed locally - including at the KIN.DER shop on Arundel Street - and also on the website www.derbyshireopenarts.co.uk
