Created by The Tent People, the Festival Sessions is a community festival of music, dancing and performance from 2nd - 4th September in Hayfield.
This year, the festival will boast an Introducing Stage where local artists and creatives can take a slot and perform.
Joss Underwood, founder of The Tent People, said: ‚"The Introducing Stage at the Festival Sessions is an amazing opportunity for local artists from the High Peak - and beyond - to perform at the event. We would love to hear from a range of performers including, puppeteers, storytellers, poets, DJ's, dancers or musicians. We are particularly interested in hearing from young people, people of colour and those who are LGBTQ+. Our vision for the festival is to develop a diverse programme with good representation."
"To apply, please complete the form on the website telling us a bit about your act and send some examples of your work. If you'd prefer to send us a voice or video application you can do this and upload the link in the form. The deadline for applications is 12th July (midnight) and our curatorial group will meet after this to finalise the programme. For those that are selected there is a small grant payment to artists and people will be matched to a mentor to develop their practice further."
