Local folk writer Keli Tomlin is celebrating the launch of their first solo publication, called Walk the Wheel, with a launch event day at The Craft Barn, Hadfield, on 31st March.
Walk The Wheel is a collection of eight tales shaped by folk traditions from the British Isles, and rooted in the seasonal Wheel of the Year. Weaving the elegance of fairy tales with fresh characters that defy gender-roles and stereotypes, these are stories to read aloud with children and friends, or to enjoy alone, immersing yourself in the magic of nature's cycles.
The first launch event on 31st March is a family-friendly storytime and the second will be an evening Q&A with the author. Both will include a chance to see the book's unique illustrations exhibited and the opportunity to purchase the book itself.
Pre-orders for Keli’s book start on the Spring Equinox (20th March) and the book itself will be available from 31st March. Readers can purchase online at www.kelitomlinwrites.com. Free tickets for the launch event can be reserved on EventBrite.
